So far, I don't think I have a good habit of learning English. My spoken English is poor and I want to be good. So I begin studying the book <Word Power Made Easy> and listening the English radio by podcast. For learning a language, listening and reading are input, speaking and writing are output. In order to practice writing, I demand myself to respond the English posts in Eleduck community. For speaking, I am also finding a way to open my mouth.
I am a software engineer focusing on board supporting package.Every work day I read in English coz most of the data sheets are written in English. I also prefer to use google and search in English coz it’s more reliable compared with Chinese. After working for several years I discovered my English had been improving.
That's nice if you have an environment for English learning, and searching for information in English will definitely give you more reliable sources.
Well done~

Deliberate practice. It requires a course of gradual accumulation. You can learn words and phrases through various channels. Movies and songs are more colloquial. Speeches and articles are more official. Please remember, perseverance brings success.
So, let us join in the English topic discussion every day~~~
I enjoy the treadmill of learning English, which means I need to review what I have learned regularly and repeat and repeat until it becomes my knowledge entirely.
Somebody who wants to find a shortcut in learning English will find the truth disappoints themselves, there is no shortcut in learning English.
It's well known that it will take 10,000 hours of practice before one can be an expert or master performer in a given field.
So if you think you are not good enough in English, the only thing you need is to devote more time and energy in it, and wait to become an expert.
I'm quite self-confident in mastering English, it's only a matter of time.
I also agree that there's no shortcut in learning English, and basically no such thing in any language. Actually, searching for the most effective way of enhancing language skills is time-consuming, while people spend little time to really dive into studying.

English is my soft spot.I learn it for long time but I can not good at use it.Recently I am learning English grammer and I realized the English grammar is very important.
Nothing o(╥﹏╥)o,Because I think my English is not good.
But, when going to Thailand to play in 2018, most locals speak English with tourists. I can understand and respond simply. This is due to frequent watching American dramas (From 2010 until now).
Awww, please avoid judging yourself. Watching American series is exactly a good habit of learning English. And practice it in a real situation, for example, talking to the local people when traveling abroad is helpful to improve your English as well. ;))
下面是小建议:
when going to Thailand [后面都可以不要] in 2018, most [of the] locals speak [既然是2018年那么这里是不是应该用过去式呢?以及后面也是可以去掉]
I can[要用过去式]...
This is due to frequent watching American dramas (From [大写就不必了] 2010 until now).
