We are an angel-backed Insurtech / HRtech startup based in silicon valley, with the support of many advisors/investors/mentors, who are experts and former c-level executives in leave management and insurance industries.
We help expecting parents access their parental leave with ease and confidence. As new parents embrace the joy and responsibilities of parenthood, a lot of important planning takes place. Navigating maternity and parental leave benefits can be very confusing - consisting of job protection laws at both the state and federal levels, group short term disability insurance, employer benefits and policies, and state disability or paid family leave benefits. According to a research on the key challenges for new parents - 32% of new parents didn’t understand the Family Medical Leave Act prior to having a child, 38% did not understand short-term disability insurance, and 49% of new moms did not meet with their HR to develop a leave plan. We clear the confusion for families on HR, insurance, and benefits processes that are too important to be misunderstood.
Role Purpose
We are seeking a Junior QA Tester / Product Support Analyst to join our Product team. The core focus of this role is manual testing—writing and executing test cases, identifying bugs, and ensuring our SaaS platform is reliable and high-quality. Then you will work with Engineers to automate the test plans you have manually tested and created.
Over time, there are opportunities to grow into areas such as product support, project management, or test automation, depending on your interests and skills. This is a great entry point for someone with a strong logical background who wants to start in QA but keep doors open for broader product and tech career growth.

Key Responsibilities
● Develop a strong understanding of our product functionality, business rules, and user needs
● Write, execute, and maintain manual test cases to validate product features and bug fixes
● Document and track issues; collaborate with engineering to ensure resolution before release
● Support client implementations by validating data and troubleshooting issues
● Provide product support to internal and external users (e.g., reproducing issues, documenting findings, providing workarounds, escalating critical bugs)
● Maintain clear documentation of test plans, test results, business rules, and system behavior
● Collaborate closely with engineers and the product manager to clarify requirements and validate functionality
● Assist in improving QA and support processes as the company grows
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Strong logical thinking, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills
● Educational background in mathematics, science, engineering, or related fields is a plus
● Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow through on testing steps
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Comfortable working with Excel or spreadsheets for analysis
● Familiarity with software development lifecycle and testing methodologies (coursework or internship experience welcome)
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
● Experience in software testing, QA processes, or support roles (professional or academic)
● Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or other ticketing/documentation systems
● Understanding of programming concepts or lightweight scripting
● Exposure to version control tools (e.g., Git)
● Interest in automation testing (a plus, but not required for this role)
● Prior experience in a startup or SaaS environment

● Work closely with the CEO, founding team, and enterprise clients on product iterations
