At Bolt Labs, we believe everyday users have a right to privacy and our mission is to enable privacy-preserving protocols on top of cryptocurrencies.
To achieve this, we are building zkChannels: a chain-agnostic, anonymous off-chain protocol for unlinkable payments using advanced cryptographic techniques. For example, zkChannels allow customers to transact privately with Bitcoin and other currencies without revealing their payment history or identity to a merchant. We believe zkChannels will become a new standard for security and privacy in online services compatible with existing web architectures and emerging privacy regulations like GDPR.

Position
We are looking for an experienced software developer to join our team. The scope of your work will require familiarity with applied cryptography, distributed systems, and anonymity-preserving network protocols (e.g., Tor). You will be expected to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software. You will have a chance to work with a world-class team of scientists and engineers in the field.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations.
- Experience with one or more general purpose languages: Rust, Go, C/C++, and/or Python.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and can collaborate effectively.
