Job Summary 

SimpleTexting is a fast-growing text message marketing and business texting SaaS product company in search of its first product manager. As a product manager, you'll work collaboratively with a cross-functional team that includes leadership, engineering, design, and UX to build strategic plans and execute product launches that deliver on user needs. This position is a balance of strategy and execution.

Responsibilities 

• Identify high-value client needs and balance them against leadership's perception of market direction to define and maintain a high definition roadmap for the next three months
• Conduct current and future near term market analysis
• Monitor and evaluate the usage of the product
• Clearly define and communicate product requirements
• Provide input into the design phase of the release including review of designs and answering any questions a designer may have with respect to requirements
• Facilitate the project review meeting and the daily development standup to answer any questions developers may have with respect to the requirements or product release
• Support the product team by removing blockers within your purview
• Evaluate deliverables to ensure they are ready for release
• Define and track metrics that inform the success of your product initiatives
• Collaborate with marketing on messaging, positioning and GTM plans

Proven Abilities Required 

• Proven track record of shipping software product features in an agile team
• 5+ years in product management or adjacent role (i.e. project management, ux, etc...)
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• You know when to use data to guide you and when to rely on your great product instincts
• Unhealthy conflict defuser. You're a positive influence and a leader.
• You have an ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy, but know when to seek feedback
• Experience with one or more of the agile flavors in favor today (i.e. Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, etc...)
• Curiosity and comfort holding professional conversations with customers

Not Required, but a Plus 

• Fluent Russian speaker
• Technical background or technical fluency
• Experience with subscription software and freemium products, additional plus if horizontal SaaS
• MBA

Location 

• Remote - must be available to work primarily US hours
