Project Description：

• We are a startup team, with members based in California and Hong Kong, targeting use cases in the intersection of Legal Industry and AI
• We are seeking 1-2 versatile full-stack engineer(s) to help build MVPs, to iterate with our target customers
• A highly rewarding experience for anyone hoping to get into NLP / LLM, with potential for long-term engagement

Requirements:

• Experienced in Python, esp. NLP / Data Science related libraries
• Understanding of basic NLP AI concepts and implementations (e.g. embedding, transformers, etc.)
• Some knowledge and ability to quickly ramp-up on LangChain, HuggingFace, and popular LLM APIs
• Experienced in building business webapps with basic UX flows. Ability to do full-stack prototype and iterate fast (i.e., leveraging front-end libraries and off-the-shelf artifacts as much as possible to prioritize speed)
• Some prototype-level experience on deployment and devOps work on AWS

Desired / sample background:

• Masters in Computer Science
• 4-8 years out of college, with experience in 0-1 prototyping (your hobby project or work)
• Above are not required – whether you are 18 or 38, PKU or no college degree, if you are capable, we want to talk to you

Language: read and write English proficiently – legal documents, product interface, and technical communications will be in English. Daily working language can be in Chinese

Location:

• Remote work, expecting 30 hours+ per week (e.g., part time 4 hrs per weekday + 10 hrs+ per weekend, or full-time 6 hrs+ every weekday)
• Plus for Shenzhen, with potential in-person meetings / future on-site full-time openings

Compensation:

• Flexible structure, with budget of RMB 1w-3w per month (depending on hours, structure and speed & quality of completion vs. expectation)
• Can be milestone-based or week / month-based, or a combination
